"Christ's Gift" Christian School
"Behold, children are a gift from the Lord;.." Psalm 127:3

As more than 50% of Kenya's population are under 15 years of age.  K.I.M. also concentrates on training child workers through seminars and outreaches:  Holding beach Sunday school sessions through drama and song, working with orphans, running its own nursery and primary school and bringing children to Christ through soccer.

There are more than 800,000 AIDS orphans in the mission's province and Christ's Gift Schools were started on their behalf.

The Means
By having approximately half of each class of 20 children sponsored orphans, their sponsors providing $25 a month, and the rest of the students' parents paying a low fee appropriate for lower income Kenya families, the school's running costs can be met.   This includes small but locally scaled salaries for the teachers, breakfast and lunch for the students during the school days and supplemental food when school is out, and medical care for the orphans as well as school uniforms, sweaters, socks, and shoes.

How to Become a SPONSOR
Email us your name, address, and say that you would like to sponsor an orphan with Kenya Islands Mission.  We will send you a photo of and information about your sponsored child.  Then you will send $25 a  month to the Chapel with your check designated for an orphan, or call/write to:
